A Weimaraner pup goes through a stage of being "flakes", more so since sexual maturity starts at this period. A teen age pup is exposed to additional frightening experiences, but at this time the pup is expected to handle it with confidence and strength. In times the teenage pup is stumped, breeders let them figure it out for themselves. Breeders are careful not to coddle the pups at this stage, since encouraging and assuring them will spoil your pup's potential to be a good hunting dog.
